my 2011 vw touareg's driver side power window will not automatically go down or up. i can hold the button to go down or up, but it won't work on auto. if i hold it all the way to the top, it will go back down about 6 inches and stop.

You need to check that the channel where the window runs is clean and you can lubricate it with a grease that won't damage the material, personally I use silicone based lubricants. If the trouble persist there is a problem with the window roller or something related. Also you need to do the relearn procedure for the window's auto function. Wich is press the button down until the window is down completely then immediately press up until the window is up, wait 3 to 5 seconds and let the button go. That's it test this and let me know
