No crank no start?

I did an alternator change on my JXI. While removing the old alternator there was an arc.
After the new install, I have a no crank no start. All fuses check and I installed a new
auto shutdown relay. grounds are are clean and snug. what else am i missing?

Did you check the main engine fuse under the hood. It should be like a 30 or 40 amp fuse. Not the little tiny ones. Have you check for a fusible link between the battery and starter as well? Follow the positive cable to the starter.

In searching for a fusible link, I learned there was a wire disconnected from the starter. The cramped space I was working in to remove and or install the bottom bolt of the alternator, which is threaded from the backside, is right in the same area as the starter. Thank you for your swift response and identifying where the fusible link could be located.

That may be your wire that comes from your ignition. That would explain why you are getting a no start.
