Why would my car battery die after syncing my
iPhone

Guarantee it has nothing to do with the phone. Maybe you left the ignition on too long. Otherwise go and have the charging system tested.

Ford is having a lot of trouble with the Sync system, so if the battery and charging system check good then your only place to get the system fixed is unfortunately the dealer.
