my 01 audi a-6 twin turbo haI took it to an audi dealership and they replaced the battery and alternator as well as the lower fuel pump. When I wenompression in one cylinder and low in another. Why?
never before has this car given me problems but over half way thru a 600 mile trip i began going thru coolant. Then the alternator seemed to be failing. Warning lights were going crazy. An Audi dealership replaced the lower water pump battery, coolant tank for $2700.00. When I went to pick it up I was told that I now had one cylinder with no compression and another with low compression. What happened and what is the fix
When your water pump failed and you lost coolant, did the car overheat and you continued to drive the car? The alternator seeming to fail was probably coolant on the serpentine belt making the belt slip, and causing the alternator not to spin properly. If it did overheat you probbaly damaged the engine hence the low compression. The fix is a engine rebuild. I'm surprised your dealer didn;t go into specifics on what to do next to fix.
My 2000 Audi s4 twin turbo had the battery light on and the battery meter was reading low n lower n all the sudden she died I got the battery charged n got home but is it my alternator n serpentine belt
