Loss of gas milage
I was on a trip of 3000 miles and getting 22 miles per gallon by the computer. Filled up with gas and the mileage went to 19. I thought a bad tank of gas and it would work it's self out with another tank of gas. I have put another 2000 on it and no change and I did put in a can of B & G 44K gas treatment. I was going to change the fuel filter and found out it is in the tank, not serviceable. What is going on with this truck. 4.7 flex fuel eng. I only use 87 octane.
HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR TIRE PRESSURE ? AND ALSO ARE YOU RESETTING YOUR AVERAGE MILEAGE AT EVERY FUEL UP ? IT WILL JUST KEEP AVERAGING YOUR TOTAL ECONOMY FOREVER, WHICH WILL GET WORSE FROM IDLING (WHICH IS 0MPG), STOPPING AND STARTING, GETTING BACK ON EXPRESSWAYS SPEEDING UP OR DOWN THE RAMPS, ETC. I RESET MINE EVERY FUEL UP AND THAT GIVES ME A BETTER IDEA OF WHATS GOIN ON. BTW... I HAVE A 2004 HEMI RAM THAT AVERAGES 13.5. I WOULD BE DELIGHTED TO GET 19. LOL.
Look to your trans filter change. Both and u will get u mpg back
truth be told those computers lie to you. it's best to calculate your fuel economy youself. then you know for sure what mileage you're getting
