Average cost of a Cadillac srx 2004 oil change????
My parents are pissed I just purchased a
used Cadillac and have now haunted me of
stories of 100.00 oil changes
Any nationally chain repair shop like Firestone, jiffy lube a basic oil change should be about 30.00, if you decide to get synthetic oil this price will increase. Other repairs on a Cadillac may be somewhat higher, just make sure you perform your basic maintenance and you have no problems, Good luck..
Gone are the days of a Cadillac being something "special" and costing tons of money to maintain and repair. I am glad to see you didn't buy one with the disastrous Northstar V8! I would encourage you to see if your SRX is involved in any of the airbag, ignition switch, or other recalls that GM has been plagued with in recent years. Car complaints.com will list any recalls and your local Cadillac Dealer can run your vehicle identification number to see if your specific vehicle is included in any recalls that pop up. A Cadillac will cost no more to maintain than any other domestic car. HTH. -Jim
Make sure all your oil changes are with Synthetic Blend (the most common for newer cars). $39.95 specials are the average, even at car dealers. - unless you go to a Cadillac dealer for the change. That would not be a good idea because then you may well get close to $100. Ford advertises Quick Lane changes all the time for $39.95 for any car (6 qts.). If the car has high mileage, you may want to avoid a "full" synthetic because that may result in high oil consumption. "Regular" oil generally does not offer the protection of synthetic blends.
