Jeep stalls when moist
Hello - Ive been having a problem the last year or so diagnosing an issue I
am having with my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Loredo. I am trying to avoid
bringing it to a shop because they will charge me a costly diagnostic fee.
So last winter every time it rained or was very humid out I would have this
problem. Never when it is dry put (at least that is how it appears).
I will be driving, then stop to run into a store (usually if its only a few
minutes), then when I get back in to start my truck, the ignition will crank
but the engine will not turn over. It will not go the last step to turn on. So I
have to sit in my tuck for about 10 minutes and just wait, and when I try to
start it, it start with no problem. It almost seems as if it has to cool off
because its usually when its been running. Also, call me crazy but I feel it
has something to do with the weather because I had no issues over the
summer when it was warm, but now that the weather has cooled off a bit (I
live in NY) Im starting to get the problem again. Also, only when the
weather is damp or moist.
What can it be?
