Can I install a new latch on my glove box and skip putting in a lock? We never use the lock anyway, and the old latch is not working.

I need to replace the latch, but I see that a lock assembly is a separate item to order, and
is much more costly.  Can I buy ONLY a latch and simply replace that?

If you don't care about locking it, just grab one from a junk yard. I've done that.
