Awd disabled light comes on then goes off

Awd light disabled comes on when vehicle is started then
goes off. Is it ok to drive like that and what can I do to fix it.

i have a 2004 same problem. took it into dealer. all it is, is a plug on passenger side behind front wheel. very tight squeeze to get to. good luck hope that's a fix.
