You're probably looking at just a valve cover gasket that's leaking. It should be a cheap fix at an honest repair place. Shop around

Try re torque the bolts. common issue with these vans. That will get u by without the smell and oil loss. I had a caravan can't say too many good things. About half of all my bolts were loose. You might be surprised. .
