Wat do I do when the key that starts my car brakes and my spear key don't start it

Try putting the broken pieces inside as close to the column as possible then try your spare key, if it starts then your spare key is not correctly programmed for your vehicle. If it still don't work then a dealer will have to cut and program you some new keys, unless you have a really good locksmith in your area that has the equipment to do the job.
