my '04 Outback instrument lights on dash are going out. How do I fix them or is it a huge repair at a shop?
Problem started with fuel gauge light going out and has now added 1/2 of the tach is now blacking out. Any advice out there? Big job or easy fix? Thanks!
They are just bulb replacements, but I would advise that you let the dealer do it. It's a tricky job getting in there. Not sure how expensive, but it's the labor you are paying for, the bulbs are cheap.
it's honestly not that hard, you have to pull about half your dash apart but if you take your time it's not bad, I've done it twice in my subaru and once in my toyota.
if your lights just keeps going out i think the wiring is shot . did u replace any electrical part in your dashboard recently
the lights are going to start to go out at the same time if they were all made/installed at roughley the same time, lights only last so long, do them all at once and you won't have to worry about it for quite some time.
