Here's a good question: My 2001 E39's original battery finally developed a bad cell. I am looking for a replacement and would like some input from those that have replaced their battery...
with an aftermarket version. The OEM is produced by Exide, which chiefly produces semi-truck batteries and a
handful available at BJ's Wholesale. I would love to use Optima, however, the fitment for a Bimmer ends with the '77
2002. Any thoughts or suggestion?
Interstate MTP-93 or Autozone Duralast 49-DL
Which have you had longer and in what vehicle?
The Duralast H8-DLG is actually what Autozone recommends. I was hoping for a better option though.
I would try to stay with OEM if possible you may even be able to get one of the new AGM style that we are putting in the e60 which has a much longer life and has better power output- same technology as a optima.
