Which Impala should I buy: I am trying to choose between a 2012 Impala with 3.6L engine/6 speed trans and a 2011 Impala with 3.5L engine/4 speed trans

Asked by Jan 28, 2014 at 03:32 PM about the 2011 Chevrolet Impala LT Fleet

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

If all other details are the same (price, features, etc, etc) which car would you recommend based on engine/transmission. I know the 3.6 has more horse power, but the 3.5 will get me where I need to go too. I am not a speedy driver. What is the track record shaping up to be with  this newer motor/ trans combo? If added horsepower is not an issue, which motor/trans combo can I expect to be reliable and need fewer repairs? Thanks so much for your input! Angie
