went to dealership due to car over heating, changed thermostat. heat setting does not regulate. set at 75 degress and then goes to cold air

Sounds like a problem with the climate control system. Do you have clouds of water vapor coming from the tailpipe? Are you losing coolant? Pull the oil dipstick. Is there white milky "goop" on the dipstick? Is your engine overheating and/or misfiring? If you answered NO to these questions you don't have a blown head gasket. HTH. -Jim
