Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Occasionally when we brake (particularly a "strong" break), right before the end of the
stop we'll hear a loud single knock (debatable whether location is rear or front). Dealer
has driven it trying to replicate with no success. 2006 with 125k miles. Brakes have been
replaced a couple times. Any ideas what could be causing the knock?

Torque arm bushings would be my guess, but I have seen the bolts loosen up from stress or bracket collapse. A lot of times a dealer is not the place to go due to the way they pay the tech, if they can't find the the problem in 6 minutes they quit trying. Try finding an independent shop that has good reviews in your area, there are a lot of independent shops that specialize in Hondas.
