My father in laws 2004 mustang is shutting all electrical off while he is driving the car still runs just no cluster, radio, or anything else. When he idols it all comes back. What could be the issue.

Check the battery cables and terminals for corrosion or dried and cracking insulation.

He put a new battery in it 2 days ago and checked the alternator both good.

Agree with tom has to be cable ends or cables bad them self.
