my 2004 mustang convertible V6 3.9 engine when turning key to start it just sputters, the radio and lights work

Asked by Feb 16, 2014 at 01:48 PM about the 2004 Ford Mustang Base Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1 Answer

I would check battery voltage and all battery connections. Even the negative connections on the frame and motor. Also check starter connections. All must be clean and tight. If all this seems ok then look at testing leads at starter. If that tests ok then I would remove starter and have it tested.
