what else could be draining my battery if the alternator and battery are good
while driving the radio turns off, lights dim, odometer, speedometer and fuel gage all go
down to 0, then it dies
Check all your battery cables. One or some might be loose, corroded, and or the insulation is broken. If that all looks good, you need to have someone who can help you, someone good with electrical issues/problems.
is there anything else i can do
Check the fuses to the Alternator. I have blown 2 just by accidently touching wrong cable to post.
Your car does not have an Alternator, it is a generator which has it's voltage rectified by the ECU (Engine Computer unit) up by the Engine compartment Fuse Block behind the Air Filter! Either the generator is bad or the ECU is!
I had a similar issue and it turned out to be my glove compartment light was stuck on. Could easily have been trunk light too.
