draining the battery

i was informed that the little blue light that stays on in the inside of the car is causing the battery to continuously die.  when I turn the car off, the light pops on, its located on the left side of the steering wheel. if this is true can anyone assist in explaining how to disconnect it

Some makes and models have a visual theft deterrent light. It doesn't do anything, it's just a visual deterrent for passer-by. It shouldn't drain the battery. Maybe the instrument cluster in your owners manual will show the lamp? It just depends on purpose of lamp. I can't see anything from here. You may need to check amp draw at battery? Just my opinion
