I have a 2004 pacifica it was running fine when I bought it 2days ago I put to much oil in then the check engine light came on I went to auto zone they said it has a misfire on cylinder 6 and my car was smoking a lot out the tailpipe white smoke but only when I press on the gas and funny smell like fuel midas changed the water pump and timing belt what could it be
You should have brought it back to where you bought it to begin with, aside from that, we need to know the mileage. The Pacifica is a nice car and when taken care of properly should last 200,000 miles or more. By putting too much oil in the car, you caused it to fowl out and possibly more. Midas did you no favors for sure. There are so many issues that can happen with front & rear main seals, even gaskets popping. Too many issues to think about. I had a dealer put too much oil in my Crossfire, caused problems, though I fixed it quickly within hours of the change.
