What type of fuel does it take and what gas mileage does the Crossfire get?

Asked by tylerbox165 Aug 23, 2007 at 12:55 PM about the 2004 Chrysler Crossfire Coupe RWD

Question type: General

1. Does the Crossfire only take premium fuel or can it take regular also?
2. Does the car get more than what the dealership says in gas mileage, "19 city-24 highway" or can it get better.

Hi tylerbox165, 1. Manufacturer specification says that Premium fuel is required for this vehicle. 2. The mileage on the window sticker (19c/24h) is only an estimate and is usually on the high side. Overall, you'll probably see about 21 mpg (average between city and highway mileage). However, driving conditions, road terrain and driving habits play a huge part in achieving optimum fuel mileage for any vehicle. Hope this helps!

no deisel models are available..who would build a deisel supercar?? anyway to the fuel consumption it will do Urban 34MPG (miles per gallon) obut in reality when you first get the car it will do an average of 26mpg (this is with an automatic tiptronic gearbox now if u have the manual you can do alot more miles to your petrol!

It will run on normal unleaded and driven casually will touch 26 mpg combined.

I dont see why it would need premium. Is it actually turbo charged? If so then yea, 91 octane at least. Gas milege completely depends on your driving habits. Coast down hills and drive 55-65 with windows up and you will beat those numbers. Rev that engine and beat the hell out of the car and you will get crap milege Why get a crossfire??? Get a saturn sky or pontiac solstice if you want a fun lil car.

Crossfire has a trunk which holds quite a bit. The trunk on the sky and solstice is so small it’s not usable. We love our crossfire and have had one since 2005.
