Just turn the key like your going to turn on the car except don't go all the way

^Agreed. That position on the ignition should be marked "ACC" for accessories. Though do realize that the battery is the only thing now powering the radio and if you do that long enough and enough times, it will kill the battery. Granted I do it regularly when I drive somewhere to finish the song that is on the radio (5 minutes or so). Then as long as you drive long enough when you start back up, the alternator will recharge the battery.

On my 2012 Beetle with push button start, right after shutting off the vehicle, I can hit the radio power button and play it for 10 or 15 minutes before it automatically shuts off. If you're hoping to play for longer, I recommend a quality portable system with rechargeable power.

Thanks, pressing the power button on the radio worked, right after shutting the car off, I was able to listen to the radio for about an extra 15 min, maybe more, out in the parkinglot but had to go into to work. 15 gti se thanks again
