Oil leak on 2012 Spyder Eclipse

Asked by Sep 08, 2012 at 10:27 AM about the 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Will be a week before I can get to a mechanic, really worried about this leak.  Has coated the inside of the wheel and spray from the tire has coated the passenger side of the car.  Just put in 2 quarts of oil a few days ago to make sure my oil level is good.  Please help!!!

That is a big leak! Can you pinpoint where it is coming from? Might be the oil filter is loose. Drive it down to a quick lube for them to inspect if you plan on driving it before you get to your regular mechanic. Might be a quick fix, if it's more involved, take it back home and don't drive it till someone can look at it, you don't want to drive it with the oil level that low.
