Knocking noise

Asked by Jun 12, 2016 at 01:22 AM about the 2012 Ford Mustang GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 Ford Mustang and every
time I turn it off it sounds like a jet
plane unwinding.  Followed by a
knocking noise.  Any idea what it
could be?

Sounds kinda like a piston rod knocking meaning a blown cylinder

Sounds after turning off your engine means extra crankcase pressure in the system, aka air or your A/C system is making the noise, get it checked out.
