Asked by Sep 11, 2016 at 01:21 AM about the 2005 Chrysler Sebring Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Chrysler Sebring and I THOUGHT I was
putting oil in the right place but actually put it where the
auto transaxle fluid goes.  Should I not even start my car
now?  Do I have to have it towed drained and flushed now
or will this hurt it?   Signed very car dumb female

First, let me ask/confirm you added the fluid to the place you say.....https://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/2005_Chrysler_Sebring_ GTC_2.7L_V6_Convertible/transmission_fluid/add_level....you have to use a funnel to do so. If you did, then I would not start the car. Have it towed to your mechanic so they can flush the transmission and add the proper fluid.

Yeah what I thought I'm having it towed tomorrow...such a dumb girl thinking I was helping and hurt it. Lol. Thank u!
