I have a 2005 Chrysler Sebring it won't start by the key only with the remote starter and when I hit the break it turns off someone told me its a security problem and the car is on lock down

Yep ... your key lost its program A new key with transponder is about $15 on ebay ... if you take it to Home Depot they will cut it for you To program most keys requires a simple procedure that's usually inside your owners manual
