2012 Ford Focus Coolant Leak

Asked by Sean Nov 30, 2020 at 10:15 AM about the 2012 Ford Focus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm having to add coolant to my car every couple of days. My cousin
(Dealership Mechanic) replaced the hose for me. My brother in law looked
under the car on Thanksgiving day. He said that to him it looked like the leak
was coming from a seal on the CV shaft which confuses everyone. Any advice
appreciated!

Mechanics can run a die that glows under a black light that would help in this situation. Since the car isn't that old you hope it's not a head gasket issue. How does your oil look? When you take the radiator or coolant overflow tank cap off is it foamy or a brown color? If not - could still be leaking where a coolant hose was replaced.
