when the car is hot does not turn have to wait like 10 minutes to cool and then turns loose a funny smell

Check power steering fluid if the fluid level is too low it will cause the power steering pump to overheat and and lock up if fluid level is ok and it's still happening I would suggest replacing the power steering pump
