Chrysler Crossfire won't start, fob won't work, and alarm goes off

Asked by Jun 08, 2016 at 11:27 AM about the 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car was driven to an appointment and 30 minutes later would not open with fob and when manually opened, the alarm went off.  The key would not start the car, but all electrical appeared to work.  I took the primary key that is used almost daily and same results.  Towed to dealer and they indicated that the primary key had no programming and that the fobs would require replacement.  Call me a doubter that both keys would give up the ghost at the same time.

Sounds more like a failure in the BCM's security programming, I think they should try a reflash of the system first. It could be a BCM total fail, I have seen this before but more systems are usually down. Your right it is rare that fobs and keys would fail at the same time.
