Is a K&N rechargeable air filter recommended for Crossfire SRT-6 supercharged engine?

Asked by Mar 31, 2015 at 06:00 PM about the 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am considering installing K&N rechargeable type air filters in place of standard OEM type filters.   I have heard that driveability issues may occur over time due to the oil that is impregnated into this type filter, getting into the mass-low sensor.   Can you comment?   Is there any other type of higher-flow filter available or is it simply best to replace with OEM type filter?

With Mass air, there is no need for a high flow air filter, stick with a clean OE filter replaced regularly.
