Heating sensor

Question type: General

Automtic Heating sensor starts blowing cold air
after about 1/2 hrs of driving on Highway.
As long as I'm driving around the city the system
continue to blow warm air - temperature is set at
68-70 degrees.  This has been a on going problem.
No seems to be able to find a solution.

This may be normal. With an automatic climate control system as the cabin temperature approaches the temperature set on the control panel the system will begin to modulate. That is adjust the temperature of the air coming into the cabin to maintain the set temperature. You won't always get heat. My '78 Eldorado would sometimes, in winter, put the air conditioning on if the car was parked in the sun and the inside of the car was warmer than the 75° that I had the system set for. Even though it was colder outside. As long as the system is maintaining the set temperature I'd consider it normal and not worry about it. HTH. -Jim
