Why do i keep burning out blower motor resistors?

replaced blower motor resistor twice....keeps burning out the lower fan
speeds; yet works on high heat & AC....thermal fuse issue? ...any feedback
will be much appreciated....Clayton in Calgary

Excessive current flow, maybe a short to ground between resistor pack and blower motor itself.

Run and amperage draw on the blower motor, had the same problem on my car and it was the blower motor.
