Whats causing the fairly constant high pitches squealing sound (like a whistling) while I'm driving but stops whenever I brake!? I have a 2011 Chevy silverado

Your brake pads. They have something on one of them that is rubbing between the pad and rotor and when you step on the brake you compress it and it stops.
