Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It seems thay anybody that has a
Chrysler 300 Hemi 5.7 like I do is
having the same engine problem I
just found out yesterday that the
engine is gone I am so upset I still
have two years worth of payments
on it and on the outside of the car
is great I love my car and the fact
that I might have to turn this in
with the balance that will add on if
I get another car which will raise
my payment up over an issue after
researching that obviously
Chrysler dealership knew about
and did nothing about it I am more
than happy to get a class action
suit against this company I am
sick to my stomach just knowing
that a car that I love so much I
have to give up because I don't
have $7,000 to fix a blown engine
the car gave me no indication that
anything was wrong with the car it
just all of a sudden would not
catch it will start it just wouldn't
catch and to know that this
company has done this I say we
get it together and get this started

Sucks to own a Dodge. They look good but bite you in the ass. Installing a used engine and then selling it might be your best plan.

Your car still look good, mine caught on fire with me on the freeway. A truck saw me struggling to get off with a stalled car. The truck kept going but my car started a blaze while I was getting papers out for a tow. Within minutes it was in full blaze. Fire station was close but the fire under the hood was huge and blowing across freeway. When fire truck was preparing to tow, another hugh fire broke out from trunk. Called Chrysler and they came to auto pound to meet me, he looked at the car and as he was turning to leave, he took a high cutter and cut wire that lead to fuse box. Have not been able to get a response from anyone, so I hope we get a class action going because they are burning up. I did the recall that was suppose to prevent it. sharondic@hotmail.

I live in California and this same thing happened to us. We bought brand new 2005 and right after warranty ran out at 10300 the motor sucked a valve. Im in on a Law Suit against Chrysler. I have talked to so many people who this has happened to. $6500. New motor. 45,000 brand new we paid and got 100,000 miles. Terrible

I had the same issue. 2006 Chrysler with extended warranty but engine blew at 11 years but short of the 100,000 miles. I put in a new motor at the cost of 7500 and within six months I was rear ended and the car was totaled. A sad story. I was really hoping that there was some class action going on with these cars.

My 2008 Chrysler 300 caught fire!!!! The battery was under the floor in my trunk set up next to the spare tire” they made the car for the battery to be in the trunk” well that morning it happened the trunk would.not open for me at all and I made it all the way to.the interstate and I was on the interstate when it caught fire!!!! Turns out it was a total loss and my wife has lost her job due to no vehicle. I still owed on the car!!!!!

I bought Brand New 2005 Chrysler 300 Hemi. Hit 100,000 miles was parked and went to start car and # 5 sucked a valve seed thru the piston. Had to replace 3 Computers in car . Warranty had just run out Chrysler would not do a thing for me. Struts on front end went bad . I replaced motor $6.500 and still have car as I love this style. Paid 45.000 Off the Show Floor only to last 100000 miles. I’m game for a Class Action Suit
