Car will not turn over and alarm continues to go off

Asked by Aug 30, 2015 at 02:26 PM about the 2006 Chrysler 300 C

Question type: Car Customization

So, I just bought my 2006 Chrysler 300 C Hemi yesterday and the keyless entry was not working. My alarm sounded this morning after locking the car manually last night. I got in, started it and it shut off the alarm. My troubles were not over...it started 3 more times and then would not start at all. I do not feel it is a battery issue because all lights work and alarm (horn), continued to sound if I tried to open the door. (embarrassing in restaurant parking lot). Car is dead. What are my options??? Does the vehicle need to be towed to Chrysler dealership to be re-set? I am thinking this is the computer chip thinking the car has been stolen.....thoughts???

what dealer ship did you buy it from. was it a chrysler dealership? did it come with a warranty if so have it towed to the dealer and yes have them reset it and the key. it sounds like the battery might have gone dead before and it lost part of the personal antiteft system and the can might have been in valet mode. dang my spelling today is bad. what you can try is charge the battery go to passanger side door lock and unlock it which should disable the alarm and then insert the key in the ign. turn the key to the on and off position 5 time and then leave it in the on position for 1 min see if this helps.
