Daughter Has A 300 Chrysler and let the oil run out. she took it to Walmart they told her to take it to a mechanic. They put in oil. Not sure what to say to mechanic. The engine isn't knocking.

How did the oil run out? Loose oil drain plug and or filter? Yes, just add the proper oil to the proper level, take care of the leaks and drive it. If there are issues with the engine, you can address them then. If she caught it in time and didn't overheat the motor, there might be some wear, but she should be fine.
