rear wiper and cargo light not working

I'm having the same issue with my 2012 Journey, what did you find out?

My issue to the cargo light was that the wire had broken at the rubber boot to where the hatch and body meet. My wiper motor has just stopped but I have power to the plug so I am thinking a different issue. Hope this helps.
