1990 Cadillac Allante

Just replaced the steering column, then asked from Cadillac Dealer for the key
number and key code, then a Locksmith worked on it and made a key for the
new ignition, but car wont crank! It says "theft system armed"! What can I do
know?

the key blank used to cut your key has to have the right resister chip in it to allow the vats system to start. There are 12 possible resister chip versions.... or you can bypass the vats with a variable R

To Baback. I was having the same problem with my 93 Allante and all I had to do was program the the key to the car. Youtube will show you how to do it.
