Code for low fuel rail pressure.
Car came into shop hardly running, had codes for random misfire, O2
sensor voltage low and high, fuel rail pressure low, did a complete tune up,
replaced the O2 sensors, replaced the fuel pump assembly and fuel
injectors, cleared the codes, it now runs great until you come to a stop and
sit like at a red light then check engine light turns on with a low fuel rail
pressure code, fuel pressure is above minimum in my book, everything
seems to check out good. Anyone had a similar problem, it's got me
I hesitate to even jump in here, tennisshoes you know far more that I do. But is it a return or returnless system? All I can think of is fuel pressure regulator, on the end of the rail. I just feel odd giving you of all people advice
That was my thought too but the pressures are normal after the fuel pump was replaced, it is a return system, usually I can figure these things out, I have spent over a week trying to trace this down, you should have seen the injectors, one was plugged solid and the customer said that all he has ran in it for fuel has been Shell, maybe I'll try a pressure regulator, it could have some crud in it messing with the sensor.
