Common maintenance problems, or major work to Kia Soul?

I just purchase a used 2011 Kia Soul +, manual trans. Has anyone had to do any major
maintenance to their souls? Like engine work, transmission,, etc.. Any common problems
I should be aware of? So far I love this car, and want to get prepare when I need to do
some work with this car?

From friends who own Kias- and a finger on the Korean pulse- I can say that it should be reliable for a while- just keep up on your maintenance- but plan on gettin' rid of it before 100,000- things will start goin' south- unless you have money to burn

Thanks for the advice, I will keep that in mind.. I was thinking about owning this for a year and a half and then selling/trading it for a new vehicle purchase.

I drive a 2012 ! soul.The computer system for the radio had a service advisory instead of a recall, so I wasn't notified by mail. But the problem is that in addition to the radio, it affects the backup camera and eventually the dashboard, making both of them inoperable.
