Would you purchase a 2011 Honda CRV EX with 127,000miles for 12k?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I was looking at a 2011 CRV EX with all the bells and whistles, and 127000.  I was told
the miles were all highway.  They had just gotten the car in and it was getting it's safety
check.  The salesman walked me  In fact the tires and brakes were off the vehicle when I
saw it during the safety check.  Would you say it would be a good deal to purchase a car
of that type with those miles for @ 12k?  They have a $4000 trade in deal as well and I
would trade in my 97 CVR to reduce that cost even further.  should I even consider a car
with that much milage?

For a 2011 that is high. 42K miles a year. Of course all highway so as long as the car was taken care of oil changes were done on a frequent schedule, the engine should be fine. At 127K, you might be looking at servicing the trans fluid, suspension components, etc. Remember that it might need parts sooner than a lower mileage car, that's why your paying less now. The decision is ultimately up to you.
