Dealer wants to replace my brake fluid because it's 3 years old?  Scam?

No scam, most luxury brands like BMW and MB suggest 2 year intervals. It's good practice as brake fluid absorbs moisture over time. So do you need to change it? Most people don't until they have brake work done.

Preventative maintenance will make your car last a looong time and in this case probably save your life. I change it according to the maintenance manual and the advice of the mechanic inspecting it. Three years wouldn't work for me - kinda long. Depends on mileage not years. Depends on traffic city or highway not years.
