2WD for most normal operations, 4WD for off road or snow on the highway, speeds under 45MPH, no faster, 4LO off road only, speeds under 25MPH. Of course your own good driving skills play a lot in these selections. If this is your first 4X4 then I suggest you get on you tube and watch a few videos on your rig and the 4WD operations. and remember you should put you rig into 4WD at least once a month, so find a dirt road somewhere close so you can do so. running it in 4WD on a hard surface is really hard on the system. If there are any more questions just ask.
