It's not necessarily fraud. Most car salesman stretch the true. If the salesman says they will fix it, what is the issue? I'm sure if you don't want to go through with the deal, you can ask for your downpayment back. What did the documents say that you signed?

I signed purchase agreement with balance owing but there is nothing on here saying he is going to fix the rust spots and back hatch of ford escape two hour drive out there a nd very distress retired should of walk away get anxiety attachs I almost lost it on him so do I get my wife to talk to him. I don't trust they have a good body man
