You should have used a battery tender when replacing the battery, You will need to have the battery synced to the car....http://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/2009_Volkswagen_CC_Luxury_2.0L_4_Cyl._Turbo/battery/replace_battery

How do you synced it to the car?

ACCORDING TO ME YOU CAN CHANGE THE BATTERY WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM, I DONT THINK THAT YOUR CAR IS NOT STARTING HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOUR BATTERY CHANGE, HAVE A SCAN DONE AND POST THE CODES.
