trying to from oil leak

With a 10 year old car, it may be a valve cover gasket. How much oil are you losing?

Personally I find that if you' de grease the hell out that baby (try to avoid rubber/ nylon stuff like belts, hoses.. ect) Even Dawn dish soap works, put it like 1/4 dawn to 3/4 water in a squirt bottle, spray down the pertinent places, rinse, repeat a few times,, start it up let it idle 10min and park it on Flat ground with Clean CARDBOARD layed out under the car.. a few hours later you should be able to quickly pin it down. could be the timing chain cover and gaskets, there are upper and lower seals. also the valve cover gasket and the oil cap can have small leaks. I spent $800 chasing these leaks.
