my cadillac went through a puddle of water now battery no charge light on. what the problem?

I turned my car off , turned back on it started but no charge to battery still on ,
started with 11.4 Volts on my info dash in my 1995 Cadillac Seville northstar

Take it to any parts store and have them test the charging system (it's free). The battery may need to simply be charged again.
