Check with your Lincoln Dealer. Personally, I won't advise on disabling safety devices. Why would you disable it anyway? It has a smart system that knows when someone is in the seat.

What a "smart ass" answer. A few reasons are: Children, pregnant women and heart patients going home from the hospital. Tracy, you can leave non- helpful remarks to yourself.

I'm asking because mine makes a god awful bbbbdddddddd sound and I don't wanna hear it any more-

I don't understand: your air bag makes noise? If you're referring to the Air Bag in the dash that's meant to help save your life in a crash, I can offer no other advice than to have it checked out by a professional. That air bag is literally an explosive device and shouldn't be tampered with in any manner.
