Does a 2011 Hetta SE need a crossbar holding the radiator in place?

Asked by Apr 14, 2015 at 10:17 AM about the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The undercarriage plastic came loose shortly after purchase, then came completely off,
and I was told I needed to replace the crossbar as well.

If the crossmember(radiator support) needs to be replaced, you must have run something over that damaged the support where the undercarriage plastic tucks in, as well as the undercarriage plastic itself.
